Pastor Brian McCormick and family

Grace Baptist Church extended the call to Pastor Brian McCormick in March of 2017. Bro. Brian humbly accepted the call and he, his wife, Rebecca (Beckey), and their youngest daughter were excited to commit their service to Grace Baptist Gilmer. Their oldest daughter, Lauren, has promised to visit as often as she is able.

Previously, Bro. Brian had served at Grace Baptist Church (our home church) in Kilgore, Texas for the past twenty five years. During the years in Kilgore he had the privilege of serving with some of the very same individuals that were instrumental in stepping out so as to begin the Grace Baptist Church Gilmer location.

Brian married his wife, Rebecca, in 1991. She is a teacher at Kilgore ISD. Together they have been blessed with 2 wonderful daughters! They are Lauren and Vanessa.

Brian desires to be a humble servant of the Lord with a passion for the members of Grace to grow as God intended them to and to truly be a people who are Loving God . . . Loving People.”

His prayer is that members of Grace will grow in their spiritual maturity and faith as they walk with the Lord and that Grace will be effective in their outreach to the community of Gilmer and Upshur County.

Along with enjoying the blessing of being the pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Brian enjoys spending time with his family and friends doing whatever it is that gets him outside or in a boat!
